Kels Choo (she/they) is a Hawai‘i-raised artist self-publishing comics and making art in Colorado Springs. Working in a variety of mediums, her work is inspired by color & nature she was surrounded by growing up in Hawai‘i, her mixed East Asian heritage, as well as general monsters & magic.  Since graduating from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2013, they have been exhibiting in local, national, and international comics & zine festivals. In 2019, they partnered with Jennifer Eltringham to organize the Pikes Peak Zine Fest, which has since run annually in-person or virtually every October.  She strives to foster inclusive creative communities in Colorado, Hawai‘i, & the Midwest.
