The Performers:

J & J Hip Hop Dance Company offers amazing street hip hop dance classes while still keeping to the positive music and a positive message. The roots of this journey remain strong as the Hiz Hop Dance Crew began touring in 2011 on the Restoration Explosion Tours, in cities such as Denver, Thorton, Brighton, Wheatridge, Aurora, Pueblo, Lamar, Colorado Springs, and Espanola, New Mexico. Hundreds and hundreds of lives have been impacted by the life changing messages we put into our routines and training. With the tremendous growth in business, J & J Hip Hop Dance Company, LLC was finally formed in August of 2013. Owners Joseph R. Cantu and his wife Stephanie R. Cantu are humbled by the growth, but most honored by the impact of the lives who have been touched through the classes and training. What the near future holds is still to be written. We are looking forward to it with a smile!
Harriett Landrum, “My Name is Harriett,” is a songstress who composes and plays all original music. She is known for her compositions that fuse violin with electronic looping to create gorgeous soundscapes with passionate vocals. “It’s simple music made for complicated people,” she says. Harriett also plays a variety of modern and classical works on violin, and has been teaching violin & piano privately for fifteen years, and performing professionally for ten years.
National recording artist Thomas “Tony” Exum Jr. is a contemporary jazz, R&B and funk saxophonist, songwriter and performer with a sultry and soulful sound. In 2019, Tony released his single “My Name’s Tony” receiving national airplay, charting on the Smooth Jazz Network top 100 chart for several weeks. In addition, the My Name’s Tony Spring/Summer 14 city tour, included performances at the San Diego Smooth Jazz Festival in San Diego, California, Spaghettini’s in Long Beach, California, The Soiled Dove Underground in Denver Colorado, Jazz in The Park in Prattville, Alabama and the Winter Park Jazz Festival in Winter Park Colorado to name a few.
Beyond work as a recording artist, Tony has embarked on a career in radio hosting on Colorado Springs FM Station Jazz 93.5 FM with over 20 hours per week of on-air time. In addition, Tony entered a business venture in late 2019 with Kas’tell Vodka as their Global Brand Ambassador.
Hi, I’m James Flowers, Founder and CEO of DJ Shield. I am a Veteran-owned business, with over two decades in music. I make sure that we are on time and professional, always. I have been the DJ for hundreds of weddings, birthdays, and various events throughout Colorado. I take time to speak with my clients and get a full understanding of their wants and requirements. Our top priority is the vibe and providing excitement to the event. I play all clean music, I have full access to all military installations, I’m retired veteran(who knows how the military events show go), I am a MC that engages with the crowd and keeps the energy level high.
