In celebration of Arts Month 2022, the Butte Theater and Thin Air Theatre Company will present Young Frankenstein, a musical with book by Mel Brooks & Thomas Meehan, and music and lyrics by Brooks. It is based on the 1974 comedy film. The comedy genius, Mel Brooks, adapts his legendarily film into a brilliant stage creation – Young Frankenstein!
Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor, and a leggy lab assistant, Inga, Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. Every bit as relevant to audience members who will remember the original as it will be to newcomers, Young Frankenstein has all the of panache of the screen sensation with a little extra theatrical flair added. With such memorable tunes as “The Transylvania Mania,” “He Vas My Boyfriend” and “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” Young Frankenstein is scientifically proven, monstrously good entertainment.
The show runs September 30 thru October 30, on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 1PM, and Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7PM. Adult tickets are $24. Tickets for Military, First Responders, and Seniors are $20. Student tickets are $12.and childred 5 and under are free.
