CONO Neighborhood Art Project

Art for your Neighborhood

In celebration of Arts Month 2021, the Council of Neighbors and Organizations (CONO) is partnering with the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region (COPPeR) to organize a program for neighbors to submit ideas for art projects in their neighborhood. The chosen project will be announced during National Neighbors Day on September 28, and then must be completed during October, as a part of Arts Month 2021.

Neighborhoods may submit their ideas via an application with all the details on their proposed art project. The project should be art-focused, and should also be an opportunity inclusive of all interested neighbors to help build community. Estimated project budget needs, as well as participant/neighborhood capacity, must be included in the application. The award for the chosen project will be a $500 stipend to help the neighborhood with supplies, permits, etc. to complete the art project.

Examples of recent neighborhood art projects include: Organization of Westside Neighbors Basketball Court Painting, Ivywild Improvement Society Mural, City of Colorado Springs Storm Drain Projects, Community Quilts, and more!
