Storm Drain Art Project
The Importance of Clean Water
City of Colorado Springs Storm Drain Art Project and the Brewshed Alliance are teaming-up this October to educate the public on the importance of clean water while beautifying the community through art.
During Arts Month, four storm drains near local breweries will be adorned with murals by local artists. Dates, times, and locations are TBD–check back for details. Follow this link for a photo album of past storm drain art projects. The goal is to educate the public on pollutants that go into storm drains flow untreated into our creeks. We’re looking for art that paints a picture of how important it is to keep our creeks clean.
The Fountain Creek Brewshed Alliance is a program of the Fountain Creek Watershed Flood Control and Greenway District. The Alliance’s goal is to engage citizens in conversations and actions that will lead to water protection and enhancement, while meeting and enjoying a glass at a local brewery.
